Happenings

It seems that every time I go to write on the blog, I forget what I'm going to write about. Life currently has been very stressful. April tutors two students after school now, which helps with her paycheck, but she doesn't get home until about 8 or so every night. Work for me has been slow slow slow. This economy needs to turn around soon! We have a few co-ops working for us and we now tell them to come into work around 10am every day and to stay home on Fridays.

We've been going down to Claxton about once a month over the winter. Our main goal now is to pest proof the barn by closing in the wall/roof seam. We've been buying and moving in furniture into the barn in preparation for the house build. We find deals on craigslist and yardsales and fix up the pieces and bring to the barn. Lately we just finished the vanity for the guest bathroom. April bought a dresser from a yardsale for $10. We painted it black and mounted faucets and vessel sinks on the top. I turned the top drawer into a flip out drawer due to the plumbing underneath. Take a look at this picture, it's not quite done in the picture, but you get the idea.

We also want you guys to be praying for us. We've got a lot going on now. First thing is that be praying for us as we are dealing with trying to have a baby. It's been about 6-7 months of trying and still no go. Right now the fertility medicine seems to kind of work and they just doubled the dosage. Just be praying that this stuff works because the next steps can get pretty expensive. It's been a roller coaster of emotions for us lately with, yeah we're pregnant...three days later...just kidding!

Also pray that work picks up for me or that I find a new job. I've been searching around Savannah for work and depending on the timing of it, I might have to work in Savannah and live with April's parents while April is up here working at school. That is going to be difficult for us.

We feel God has something big planned for us in the future and we feel we are right on the cusp of that change. We just need patience and wisdom in this time of change.
